The Catalinbread SFT is an Ampeg-voiced foundation overdrive built to feel like an amp more than a typical dirt pedal. It can deliver big, turned-up cleans and edge-of-breakup drive, then flip into raw, higher-gain territory that pushes well into fuzz—bridging Stones-style punch and Stoner/Desert grit with a single mode switch.

In Stones mode, the gain range behaves like a big non-master amp: clean through edge-of-breakup into a classic overdrive sweet spot. In Stoner mode, it becomes louder, grittier, and more unleashed. The Treble and Bass controls are a wide-range James/Baxandall-style EQ, so the SFT can also work as a clean boost with EQ and is easy to tune for different guitars, amps, and mixes.
