Beetronics Pollinator Hazee Delay – Textural digital delay with filter, tremolo, reverse and octave modes

8 modes · Digital modulated delay · Filter or tremolo before delay · Forward/Reverse · Octave Up · Queen Bee modes · Ambient textures · 9V

The Beetronics Pollinator Hazee Delay is not a conventional delay built for perfectly locked rhythmic repeats. It’s something else entirely: a texture, movement and sound-design tool where the repeats are shaped before they ever enter the delay line. The result is an echo that doesn’t simply repeat your playing — it pollinates it, moves it, filters it, chops it, reverses it or pushes it an octave up.

This is Beetronics’ first fully digital pedal, allowing the Hazee Delay to explore sounds that simply wouldn’t be possible in analog land. Its core idea is different from most modulated delays: instead of wiggling the delay time, Hazee modulates the signal first — using either a filter or tremolo — and then delays it. That means the repeats are copies of a moving, modulated sound, not just echoes with wobble.

There are 8 modes, combining forward or reverse delay, fundamental or octave-up repeats, and two modulation families: filter and tremolo. The special Queen Bee modes push the behavior further, reading the buffer at different speeds to create octave-up repeats with strange, musical and highly interactive rhythms.

The controls are simple — Time, FDBK, Mix, Mod and Mode — but deeply interactive. Small movements can take you from subtle motion to dense, hazy, psychedelic layers. If you want a traditional tap-tempo delay, this isn’t that. If you want a pedal that turns a simple phrase into a living cloud of texture, welcome home.

Key features

  • Textural digital delay focused on ambience, motion and sound design
  • Beetronics’ first fully digital pedal
  • 8 delay modes combining filter, tremolo, reverse and octave-up repeats
  • Modulation happens before the delay line, creating repeats of an already-moving signal
  • Forward and reverse delay modes
  • Octave-up repeat modes
  • Two experimental Queen Bee modes
  • Simple but highly interactive controls: Time, FDBK, Mix, Mod, Mode
  • No tap tempo by design: built for texture, not clock-perfect repeats
  • Soft-click bypass footswitch
  • Made in the USA

Modes

  • Mode 1: Forward delay with filter modulation
  • Mode 2: Queen Bee octave-up with filter modulation
