The Beetronics BeeBeeDee Analog Delay is an analog delay designed to do everything we love about classic echoes… plus a few things analog delays usually aren’t supposed to do. At its core are two bucket brigade chips, delivering warm, rich and musical repeats with that unmistakable organic character — darkening, moving and degrading in all the right ways.

But Beetronics didn’t stop at “correct vintage delay.” Behind the analog path is a smart digital control system that lets you double delay speed, shift pitch, switch modulation in real time and push the repeats into more creative territory while keeping the BBD feel intact.

BeeBeeDee offers 3 delay modes:

Classic Mode is the familiar BBD voice: warm, smooth, timeless and musical. It gives you up to 600ms of clean delay, with sine-wave modulation for gentle movement around the repeats.

Lo-Fi Mode pushes the BBD sound into darker, grittier and more unpredictable territory. Think tape-style warble, moodier repeats and irregular modulation that shifts both delay time and tone, making echoes drift between bright and dark.

Pitch Mode turns delay into a harmonic instrument. Repeats shift in pitch to create harmonies, rhythmic patterns and unexpected textures. Depth selects between 9 pitch options — including two-note pitches and random — while Activity selects subdivisions synced to delay time.

The performance section is a major part of the pedal’s personality. You can assign the performance footswitch to Tap Tempo, MOD on/off, or 2X. The 2X function doubles delay speed and shifts the feedback line up or down an octave, available as either momentary or latching control. It’s perfect for quick pitch tricks, texture jumps and controlled chaos.

The Tone control is also far more interesting than a typical high-end roll-off. It blends two paths: one low-pass and one high-pass. At noon it is tuned close to flat; turn left for darker, smoother repeats, or right for brighter, thinner, noisier and more characterful echoes. It gives the BeeBeeDee a rare amount of tone-shaping range for a BBD delay.
