The ACV-NOS Edition builds on the Analoger ACV-1 concept (a time-warping chorus/vibrato approach) but adds a distinct voice: each unit is built around a hand-selected New Old Stock Matsushita (Panasonic) BBD, tuned to reveal that chip’s unique tonal signature. 

Compared to reissue BBDs (such as XVive), this NOS BBD shows subtle yet noticeable differences in headroom, harmonics, distortion, and noise vs. frequency behavior. In listening tests, it comes across as less smeared, with a smoother presence and an almost “dithered” high end. 

To match the NOS response, Asheville Music Tools goes further than a parts swap: the ACV-NOS features increased delay time into the aliased ring-mod zone, a wider modulation range, and re-voiced filters for enhanced midrange clarity and bass presence. Each unit is finished in gloss mauve powder coat with gold-gloss sparkle, plus solid aluminum GØRVA knobs for an upgraded feel.
