The Definitive Evolution of the Classic Tape Echo
We’re extremely pleased to announce the Belle Epoch +, the first compact version of our flagship tape echo simulator to incorporate the highly requested tap tempo functionality. Through extensive research and development, we’ve refined every aspect of this iconic pedal to deliver more headroom, a redesigned mix control, improved buffered bypass, noise gating, and optimized impedance specs for seamless integration into any setup. The preamp has been tweaked to provide higher dynamic range while preserving the characteristic response and feel of the original Echoplex preamp, achieving a brighter, more detailed tone.

The most notable innovation is the intuitive tap tempo system: hold the footswitch to enter tap mode and hold again for tap bypass mode. Additionally, we present three modes that simulate virtual tape wear, from a pristine “fresh off the line” Echoplex unit to a dusty one that’s “been sitting in an attic for 40 years.” With up to ~900ms of delay and Sustain, Mix, Tape FX, and Rec Level controls, the Belle Epoch + is the modern incarnation of a timeless classic.
