Catalinbread Clean Little Secret is a refined take on the Marshall low-gain sound in pedal form: an always-on friendly platform that stays clear and articulate—until you push the gain, where it gets gritty quickly and delivers a musical edge-of-breakup near the top of the dial.

Rather than chasing a single amp model, it focuses on improving the classic formula by addressing common shortcomings. The circuit is beefed up from the tone stack through the output stage, and the tone section is fully reworked to give you separate Bass and Treble controls instead of a single global tone knob. That makes it much easier to dial brightness and low-end support for different guitars, amps, or mixes while keeping an amp-like feel.

There’s also more practical output on tap, making unity easier to hit and giving you extra room for clean push. Power is 9–18V DC center-negative with extremely low current draw.
