Vongon Rosetones creates a polyphonic synth-like voice that follows your playing—but it doesn’t behave like a typical pitch shifter. It listens to your notes and routes them into sympathetic resonators, producing blooming harmonic textures and evolving chords that feel part synthesizer, part acoustic resonance engine.

At its core is a 12-voice chromatic resonator bank that continuously analyzes the input signal and routes detected pitches into tuned delay lines. Each pitch class excites a resonator that can sustain, swell, and interact with feedback for dynamic harmonic movement. The twelve front-panel LEDs display each resonator’s level in real time, showing how your notes are lighting up the 12-voice bank.

The Octave control shifts the active 12-note window across the keyboard range, re-voicing where the resonators sit while pitch detection remains unchanged. Play a simple triad and move Octave to reshape the same notes into new inversions—turning low lines into shimmer and contrast.

Modulation adds motion and depth: Chorus introduces subtle ensemble-style detune, while Vibrato applies drifting pitch movement per voice. Sens and Feedback determine how strongly notes excite the bank and how long they sustain, from short percussive resonance to long-form harmonic bloom.

Any equal-tempered source (guitar, bass, synth) can drive the bank with natural tracking. MIDI note messages can precisely articulate pitch layered over audio, enabling harmonies that follow your timing and phrasing. Rosetones can also act as a standalone sound source—with no input, higher Sens/Feedback settings allow the internal noise floor to excite and sustain the resonators into unique drones shaped by octave, tone, and modulation.
